There are multiple student-initiated activities planned across the school in order to raise funds for the victims of the Nepal earthquake. The Elementary Student Council and Grade 5 Red students have decided to raise money for the Earthquake disaster in Nepal. Our school has made contact with the Lincoln School in Kathmandu, who will channel 100% of the money we raise to those in need.
In order to raise money, we will do the following:
Monday 1 June -- Thursday 4 June
Friday 5 June
In order to raise money, we will do the following:
- From the 1st to the 5th of June the Student Council will sell raffle tickets for some exciting prizes. 1 ticket – 1000 won; 3 tickets – 2000 won; 10 tickets – 5000 won.
- On the 5th of June the Student Council will be running a Dodgeball Tournament. Students from each Grade level will be playing each other and the winners will play a teacher team! All students are required to wear their PE uniform on this day. During the dodgeball tournament, the Student Council will sell bake sale items. We would greatly appreciate your help with any bake sale contributions. Please fill out the Google Form if you are able to help.

Summer Reading
We encourage all students to do daily reading at their “just right” level over the summer. Daily reading will help your child maintain the growth they have made over the school year, and set your child up nicely for the upcoming school year. Daily reading has been proven as the one homework activity that is directly correlated to increased achievement in school in the elementary years.
Please visit the ES Library page of the elementary blog for links to summer reading lists and resources.
